Haru Studios on SoundBetter

Composer for games, film, and animation — bringing stories to life with emotional, immersive music. I craft original compositions that enhance your project's atmosphere and narrative. From cinematic orchestration to subtle BGM and seamless in-game loops, my music is shaped to support storytelling across games, animation, and stage productions.

I create original music for games, animation, film, and stage productions — carefully tailored to the tone, world, and emotional arc of each project.

Whether you're looking for warm minimal BGM, cinematic orchestration, or a character-driven theme, I approach every track with close attention to storytelling and atmosphere. I’ve worked with a variety of creators across genres, and I believe in open, responsive communication throughout the process.

Past works include the games Ninano: Dream Ranch, Anidu, the animated film My Flower, From Yeondoo, and the short film The Last Bucket List. I was also the main composer for stage plays The Letter from Chojeong-ri and Ragnarök. In 2021, I received an Outstanding Prize in the Korean Army Creative Music Contest.

Interview with Haru Studios

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: My promise is to deliver high-quality, original music that enhances your project’s narrative and atmosphere. I strive for clear communication, timely delivery, and a collaborative process to ensure the music fits perfectly with your vision.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Make sure to communicate your vision clearly! The more information you provide about the tone, style, and emotional goals of your project, the better I can tailor the music to fit your needs. Don’t hesitate to share reference tracks or detailed descriptions—collaboration is key to getting the best result.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I typically work on music for games, films, and animations, particularly in the fantasy, RPG, and cinematic genres. I enjoy creating immersive soundscapes that help to tell a story, whether it’s an epic orchestral score or a subtle new age or an electronic BGM.

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: My strongest skill is creating emotionally resonant music that perfectly fits the atmosphere and narrative of a project. I have a strong background in both orchestral arrangements and modern production techniques, allowing me to blend classical elements with contemporary sounds.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I bring a deep understanding of storytelling through music. Whether it's cinematic orchestration or subtle background elements, I focus on creating music that enhances the emotional impact of a scene or game. I also bring a wide range of genres and styles, allowing me to adapt to various project needs.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: I begin by discussing the vision of the project with my client to understand the tone, mood, and emotional journey they want to achieve. Once we’ve established a direction, I create a draft of the music and send it for feedback. Revisions are always a part of my process until we reach the perfect sound. I pride myself on responsive communication, ensuring that every detail aligns with the client's expectations.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I work in a fully equipped digital studio, using Cubase Pro as my DAW and a variety of industry-standard libraries, including Spitfire Albion, Cinematic Studio Series, and EastWest for orchestral sounds. I also use tools like Kontakt, FabFilter, and iZotope for mixing and mastering, ensuring the highest quality sound for each project.
