I'm an Audio Engineer passionate about crafting exceptional sound. With roots in Jazz, Indie, and Indie Folk. I blend diverse but refined influences to elevate your music. I'll work closely with you to bring your tracks to life - just the way you dreamt!
Hey, I’m Harry - an Audio Engineer from Birmingham, UK, with a deep love for all things sound! Over the years, I’ve worked across a mix of fields, from Recording artists and bands to Mixing, Mastering, Film and TV Post Production Recording and Live Sound Engineering.
I’ve been lucky enough to work with major clients like BBC, Disney, Warner Bros, HBO, ITV, and Sky in the film and TV industry, but my heart is in the music scene here in Birmingham. I get to collaborate with some incredible local bands - Eighty Eight Miles, Jazzcat, Fern, and Bluewalk, to name a few. I’m also part of Digbeth Jazz Collective, where I mix and master tracks for touring acts and bands every week, helping to bring their sound to life and shape the ever-evolving vibe of the city’s music scene.
But how does this make me the perfect choice for your music?
It’s not just about technical skill or awards - it’s about understanding your sound and bringing out what makes your music special. I work closely with every artist to achieve the best possible results, ensuring your tracks sound polished, powerful, and ready for release. With years of experience and a track record of delivering top-quality results, I can help take your music to the next level.
Let’s make something incredible together. Get in touch today!

Interview with Harry Banks
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I always like to lead with the same set of questions - What's your timeline for the project? What values are most important to you when recording, listening to a mix etc (do you value creativity or are you more a clinical individual)? Who and what tracks are the biggest inspiration behind this project? - This allows me to understand a bit about you, a bit about your project and acts as a great way to get talking about what inspires you most ahead of project talks.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The most recent track I worked on was the one featured in my profile - 'If you wanted me' by the wonderful acoustic duo 'Fern'. This track is extremely special as both myself and the band agreed that creativity was the most important factor behind the recording and mix of this song. The tune itself sounds great and we were able to capture some compelling sounds and create a great final outcome. The recording process had some key standout moments - including but not limited to: Pillow Fort vocal booths, recording in multiple outdoor spaces (gardens and parks) and my first time recording an early Indian harmonium!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone with a proven track record, a great sound and most importantly a great personality with views and visions that match yours. Working with the wrong person for you almost always will lead to disappointment on both ends and lead you as an artists back to square one.
