Versatile producer and songwriter blending emotion with high-quality sound. From soul-stirring ballads to bouncy alt-pop and moody hip-hop, I deliver radio-ready production, writing, and vocals tailored to your story.
I’m Saint Deon—an artist, producer, and writer who’s been creating music since I was 11. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, I moved to Seattle to chase this full time. My work bridges multiple genres with an emotional core—drawing from real experiences, my background in acting, choir, and percussion, and a deep passion for storytelling. I’ve performed at SXSW, Capitol Hill Block Party, and headlined Tacoma Block Party. My strengths lie in creating from the heart—crafting songs that feel cinematic and raw while being highly polished. I work across genres and offer top-tier production, songwriting, and vocals. Whether you’re an indie artist or brand looking for sonic identity, I’m here to elevate your vision.

Interview with Saint Deon
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I’m especially proud of “Apollo,” which chronicles my life from ages 14 to 19. I handled everything from writing and producing to mixing. It helped me find my voice and build a connection with listeners who saw themselves in the music.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m currently promoting my most recent album “Apollo” and its deluxe, “Apollo: Flame Child Edition.” I’m also working on my upcoming 2025 album “PINK VERSACE FLAME CHILD,” a deeply personal and emotional body of work split into four chapters.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Tezatalks personally recommended me to this site.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital — it gives me flexibility, speed, and unlimited creative tools. But I always aim to bring analog warmth into my digital mixes.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to respect your vision and give my all to make your project stand out. I don’t take shortcuts — I treat every project like it’s part of my legacy.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping people tell stories that heal them or connect them to others. Music is therapy — and I get to be a part of that process every day.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They usually ask, “Can you match this sound?” My answer: Absolutely — but I’ll also help you evolve it into something that feels uniquely yours.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That production is just about making beats. I’m not just making noise — I’m sculpting emotion. Great producers build worlds around artists and help translate vision into sound.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: •What story are you trying to tell? •Who are your influences? •What emotion do you want the listener to feel? •What’s your timeline and vision for this project?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone who listens first. Don’t just look for talent — look for alignment. Find a producer who understands your voice and helps amplify it, not change it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: • Juno DS • Maschine 3 • MIDI Fighter • Audio Interface • My laptop with FL Studio and plugins
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started producing at age 11 in Anchorage, Alaska. I grew up around violence and used music to cope and express what I couldn’t say out loud. At 20, I moved to Seattle to pursue music full-time. Since then, I’ve released three albums, performed across the country, and developed my own sonic identity.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Genre-fluid, emotionally layered, cinematic. My style blends soulful melodies with experimental textures and deep storytelling. It’s music that feels like memory.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with Childish Gambino or Dijon — artists who push sonic boundaries and create immersive, story-driven experiences. I admire their fearlessness and how they evolve with every project.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don’t be afraid to leave space in your mix. Sometimes the most powerful moments in a track come from what you don’t add. Let your vocal or melody breathe — silence is part of the rhythm.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: While I’m open to all genres, most of my work lands in the intersection of indie, hip-hop, alt-R&B, and electronic. I love working with artists who have something to say and want to bring a distinct identity to their sound.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to blend genres and emotions effortlessly. I’m also a storyteller, and I know how to write and produce in a way that captures attention and stays with listeners long after the song ends.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring emotion. I bring truth. I bring versatility. Whether it’s lush synths, layered harmonies, or vulnerable lyrics, I’m not just producing — I’m storytelling. I give songs a soul and make them memorable through honest detail and cohesive sound.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It starts with intention — understanding what the client wants to express and feel. From there, I usually sketch ideas quickly, allowing emotion and instinct to lead. I handle everything from beat production to vocal arrangement and mixing. I make sure each element supports the core emotion of the track. I often provide multiple versions, iterate fast, and keep communication strong throughout.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is compact but powerful — a Juno DS for melodies and textures, Maschine 3 for percussion and rhythm-driven production, a MIDI Fighter for live performance flexibility, and a fast SSD laptop for streamlined workflows. Everything is mobile and optimized for creativity, whether I’m working from home or a new city.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by boundary-pushing artists like Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, and Bon Iver. Not only for their sonic experimentation, but for the honesty and world-building in their work. I admire producers like Pharrell and Metro Boomin for their ability to create timeless soundscapes and evolve with the culture.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work closely with artists to help them develop a distinct sound and vision. Whether it’s full-scale production, writing hooks and verses, or crafting beats that elevate their voice, I bring a hands-on approach to every session. My clients often come to me for genre-blending, emotionally resonant production, and lyricism that connects. I provide full songs, custom beats, toplining, and creative direction for independent artists, labels, and brands alike.
