Interview with Vinny Pisciotta
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Probably my album. It took a few years to bring together the sonic pallet I was looking for. I produced everything, along with a few collaborators. It's something I will always look back at and be proud of.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How can we take your song or idea and bring it to the level you wish to achieve? Is it more of a creative aspect or a technical aspect, and what can I do to help bring it to that level?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started producing music when I was in elementary school. When I was in high school I started releasing remixes on SoundCloud and gained a following there. It wasn't until I was in my 20's that I started touring, and have been fortunate enough to play some pretty iconic venues and festivals.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly electronic music when it comes to production. Everything from dance-pop, house, bass music, etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do lots of production work for other artists, mainly in the publishing space. I also tend to do quite a bit of mixing and mastering for artists across all genres.
