Country Hip Hop Artist

I AM Cricchi on SoundBetter

My catalogue speaks for itself! I'm a well versed artist who works in the hip hop genre and country hip hop sub genre. I can fit into most genres. I have worked with notable artists; Merkules, Caskey, LaRussell, Gringo The MC and quite a few others. Check my discography or official website!

I'll rap on your project, write a song for you or co-write with you. I'll bring your song to LIFE! I'm available for song features, top lines, songwriting help, vocal skits, vocal production help and almost anything related to creating music!

I record locally here in Austin at a professional studio and can get you a polished work of art on my end within 2-3 weeks (although, I'm usually a whole lot faster!).

All feature projects will come mixed as one acapella track (my verses/hooks) for placement on your track, as well as my verse/hook on whatever instrumental track you send. It will not be sent in raw stems unless agreed upon (to protect my sound, vision and brand).

All songwriting that I'm not performing will come with 3 revisions, further revisions will cost extra.

CONDITIONS:
Equal % MASTER (unless agreed otherwise)
Equal % PUBLISHING (if I write/contribute to lyrics)

Interview with I AM Cricchi

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I've worked with The Lotto Tribe and we've released "The Road Back" and "Beautiful Things" to date. I have over a dozen music videos and easily over triple that amount of tracks released so far. I lost count of all my releases but it's a lot. I work with a team of people who believe in me though, so every time we create together, it's a magical and memorable moment.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Recently, I released my first professional full length album, The Road Back. It's a 22 track project and features some other great artists. My EP, "Beautiful Things" is more of a country hip hop work of art. I'm always working on new things. Some that will be released as time goes on. As a professional artist, the work never stops.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: My manager, Bezel Brilliant has used SoundBetter for studio musicians for some of his past projects and built relationships with other creators on here. This is new to me, so I hope to recommend people soon!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Nothing can beat the feel of analog. I've had records mastered by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road and you can't replicate the warmth of analog. These days, digital is king and most of my music is made for digital releases. Each of them have pros and cons though, it just all depends on the records being made.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise to anyone who works with me is to create the best thing I'm capable to create for your project. I'm a serious artist who does this! Have faith in me and trust the process.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Creating. To be able to create art for people to listen to. Some of them relate to what I create. To know I can make someone vibe. To make them happy or sad or to feel feelings. To know that across the world, there's people listening, dancing, vibing. I love that.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: That its easy. While making music can be easy for some, a lot of us know it's hard. Especially when you get into the professional realm. Starting anything is hard.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: Dreams. Goals. Aspirations. Expectations. Every artist/client will vary.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: My advice if you're thinking about working with me is to first take the time to go listen to my catalogue. Either on my official website or any streaming service. I'd suggest watching my music videos as well. Then to figure out what you're expecting of me and send me your best records you feel I'd sound best on.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: I'm a family man, so family first but if we're talking items then for sure my dirt bike. I'd probably bring a mic, a computer and a recording software program. I've found you don't need much to record music.

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I've always been creative. When I was younger I had a lot of obstacles but around 2019ish I started taking things more serious. So for the better part of 5-6 years I've been creating better and better records. Since late 2023, I've been working with The Lotto Tribe and they helped me take it to the professional level. We're still working. I don't plan on stopping.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: First and foremost, I'm a rapper. I've been experimenting with various styles over time and currently its been a mix between hip hop and country.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: Too many to list honestly. I'd love to work with Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, John Mayer and honestly any artist out there who is confident!

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: Be authentic. Write about your real life and experiences. Most importantly remember if you create art to make it yours!

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Hip Hop is where my heart is but growing up in Maryland and my time in Texas has brought the country out in me. My own families roots are being planted here so country will always have it's place.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: My writing and delivery. Plus I'm a down to earth human who can bring the best out of any records I'm on. I use my every day life and thoughts in my own music too!

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I feel like I've been doing this style of hip hop longer than it's been popular. In my opinion, I think I bring strong lyricism and delivery to any track.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: I'm a literal workhorse. When I'm not on a motocross track or building them or at home with my family, I'm in a studio putting in serious work. Everyone from my team works hard and I create masterpieces.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I record at various studios around the nation. From The Birdhouse locally in Austin to Blackbird in Nashville. All the studios I work in have professional equipment and what we use just depends on the vibe of the records being created.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: Artists from Jelly Roll to Willy Nelson to John Mayer and too many other artists to list.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: My most requested work is features and songwriting.
