Double bass and bass guitar

Flexible and highly skilled musician with 35 years of professional experience of live and studio performance.

Having studied trumpet at college somehow I ended up with a career mainly playing bass... I do still play trumpet though as well as a number of other instruments -guitar, some piano, and have even done sessions on banjo and cimbalom!
I have lived in and around London for many years and have played all the major jazz clubs and festivals in the UK as well as touring Europe, the far East, Australia and America. I have performed at Ronnie Scott's in London and the Blue Note in New York.
I regularly record both in studios and in my home studio.
I also have lots of experience as a composer and arranger and have written music for orchestra, brass band, string orchestra, string quartet and jazz ensembles.
I am happy to work from notation or from audio and if you are not sure exactly what you want or need I can work out a few options for you.
