Interview with ChrisForMix

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: For 8 years, I fell into it like Obelix and it was a passion for me, I was an artist and the studios were expensive, I wanted to record and mix myself and I managed on my own!

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: Unique aha !

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: In France I would love to work with Laylow or even Freeze corleone on tracks like freeze rael. And many others!

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Really trust your ear, theory and technique will come to refine last.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I love people who are out of the ordinary like travis scott even if I know very well how to do classic "rap" or melody.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: I would say the understanding of the song and the emotional appropriation, which makes me make impactful choices according to the "emotional" message that wants to be conveyed in the song.

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: I work on instinct, I'm fast and quite a perfectionist. I'm very creative and like to explore and add a unique touch to a track, if I'm not briefed beforehand I might be quite creative ;)

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: This changes all the time depending on the project.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: Small home studio, no need for a real studio to make a professional mix.
