Endorse Marco BorsattiWe worked with mr. Marco Borsatti on our single ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSzGjn0B1cU ). His work was excellent and he completely did the mix and mastering we were searching for. He is a professionalist and he delivered us the final mix and master even before the deadline. I can say he is one of the best in this business and his studio setup with all the analog outboard is just amazing. Collaboration with him was one of the best things in my life and I would highly reccomend to work with him to everyone. If you will work with him you will be 101% satisfied.
Interview with Marco Borsatti
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I can not say it. The project is reserved.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: The trick is knowing how to get the most out of both
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To always give the maximum commitment
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The music. Slowly open the tracks to mix them and hear the song that takes shape. it is magic.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: None in particular.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I'm not a deejay
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Usually I ask to hear the song or songs before mixing, in order to understand the world in which I have to identify myself and the sound. Then I listen to some past productions of the artist if I don't know him, in order to understand the context of reference and his story.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The most important thing when working for me is kindness and respect.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Five are too few :). But I could say with certainty my heart and my ears :)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started this job more or less in 90s. In a famous italian studio called Fonoprint.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Warm and powerful
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Each artist has something special for me to communicate. So it is difficult to answer this question.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always do things with passion and always give the maximum. Our work is art and only if you have fun and do it with passion the result can get even better to the listener.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop Rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I shouldn't say so :) But I think the sound management of the voice and the whole mix. Creating the right dynamics and emotions.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I always try to understand what the artist wants to convey and with the mix I try to emphasize the arrangement and the melody.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a lot of outboard. Visit my website or my instagram and see the photos.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love all the music and find inspiration in everything I listen to.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I deal very often and mainly with mixing and mastering
