Ntandazo Vuyile Mtshengu, stage name Ntarra CranX is an artist, music producer and sound engineer from the small town of Matatiele in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. He started playing the piano at the age of 3 when his father taught him the national anthem on a toy keyboard. He since fell in love with music and started composing at the age of 8.
Ntarra CranX calls his sound Afro Electro, which infuses genres such as Electronic Dance
Music, Afro Tech, Progressive House, Kwaito and now with an element of Amapiano. He gained
recognition when his song Two Oceans gained attention from radio stations around the world.
From Australia, the USA, Canada, Austria, Mexico and a few community stations in South
Africa.
He has worked with chart topping artists, such as Liam St. John, who is a US Spotify Blues
Chart topping artist. Basel Grey who is a 3 time South African Dance Chart Topping artist. He
has also worked with the likes of African Roots, Ifani, Naledi Boltina and many more.
He has also produced the Sun International Sun Met, which is said to be (Africa’s Richest Horse
Racing Event) theme song in 2020, “Do You” by Basel Grey where he also shared a stage with
the likes of Black Coffee, Themba, Da Capo, Harley Rey and more.
Ntarra CranX now takes on his journey as a recording artist after being behind the scenes as a
music producer for many years. With his new sound now ready, he is now ready to go out into
the world and continue uniting and making people happy through music.
