Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: You will receive the greatest human understanding that any producer can offer you, plus... excellent work, with good communication, the necessary reviews at a very comfortable price.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: The most common question for clients is whether I am able to carry out the ideas they have in mind. I always give what the artist needs. When the proposal is not in my possibilities, I say it from the beginning.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I have been an artist for 18 years, of which 17 years have been as a producer for many projects in Colombia. I joined the professional audio world 10 years ago He has been founding my own label for 2 years and I have experience as a freelancer in beatmaking, mixing and mastering work for other platforms outside of SoundBetter, working with people from other countries (USA, Italy, England, Perú, in others...)

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: In a song I can contribute from the complete construction of an instrumental, starting from scratch. But I can also make arrangements for creations that already have a certain percentage of progress. I can create an instrumental from a voice. In the mixing stage I can give you a balanced work, adjusted to the needs of the genre and the artist's instructions. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: The Setup of my studio is digital. I have KRK Rokit 6 monitors, Volt 276 Universal Audio interface, DAW Studio Pro 8 and LUNA 4, ATH-M20x Audio-Technica Headphones, in others...

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: My biggest reference producers are Leon Michels of Big Crown Records, Ludwig Göransson, INFLO, GZA and J Dilla

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: My specialty is beatmaking, it is the most recurring service they look for me for. I work a lot with the remake, especially of demos made with AI. However I also have a very good demand for mixing services, this would be my second strong point.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I am currently producing 5 studio albums for artists from my own label in Colombia. At the same time, I do production and mixing work for people in different countries as a freelancer

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital, because it is what I can offer with my equipment. But if you want analog simulation I can approach it with good results.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I love mixing, it's my greatest passion

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: I do not have specialized equipment for Mastering, that is why I offer you a semi-professional basic mastering service.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: Mixing and master: 1. If you’re ordering for a business, what’s your industry? 2. Is this order part of a bigger project you're working on? Beatmaking: 3. Will this beat be used by an artist in an album or musical single? 4. This beat will be used for some independent audiovisual, film, YouTube channel, video game or other project not related to a singer or rapper? 5. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Be very clear about what you are looking for, if the instructions are precise, it will be easier to interpret and give good results.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My style is versatile, with the ability to adapt to the needs of any project. But my greatest strength is influenced by soul and funk.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I like to work with artists who are committed to their art, who have organized and creative ideas, but who at the same time have respectable forms of communication that are open to proposals and advice.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: My biggest advice to a music producer is to make the greatest effort to interpret the artist's needs and pursuits. Although one has experience and contribution as a producer, the artist's vision is essential to carry out an effective result.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I usually work in genres related to hip-hop: Rap - RnB - Trap - Soul Funk - Trip-hop, etc...

A: My strongest skill is beatmaking and mixing

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: My way of working begins, reading or listening to the artist's proposal, by identifying the needs, I make an economical offer giving 3 offers, from the cheapest price to the premium package. Once the artist accepts, I usually send previous versions of the work before it is finished, to obtain feedback and corrections. I usually work in periods of 3 to 4 days per song, but I can accommodate my schedule according to the needs of the project. I deliver files in Stems, Mp3 and Wav according to the proposal agreements.
