NEIL "NAIL" ALEXANDER is a world renowned Pianist, Synthesist, Keyboardist & Composer who works with music in all forms and styles (including jazz, rock, funk, blues, electronica, ambient and contemporary classical). He is active in Production, Live Sound engineering, Theater, Modern Dance and Film. In 2015 Neil was awarded Individual Artist Of The Year by the Orange County Arts Council.
Currently Neil is heading several performing ensembles including "NAIL", “Mr. GONE“ and the X Ensemble.
His most recent releases are a pair of live CDs “The Album That Never Was“, with his band NAIL and 'Headhuters Live" with Mr Gone, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Herbie Hancock's Head Hunters.
From 2008 he has held the keyboard chair in the Mahavishnu Project, and is now co-director.
He has composed extensively for Modern Dance, working with many NYC Choreographers. Other projects include acoustic trio, Solo performances (both acoustic and electronic) and live music for silent films.
Neil also teaches Master Classes in Electronic Music Production, and is endorsed by Moog Music.
