Olipra

Hyperpop Music+Vocal Producer

Olipra on SoundBetter

Having worked with Hannah Diamond & Himera and released a track on a PC Music compilation, hyperpop holds no secrets for Olipra. Making music inspired by SOPHIE, A. G. Cook and Charli XCX since 2016, they’ll know how to turn your electronic sugar-coated sonic fantasies into reality.

I am a music producer specialized in hyperpop and PC-Music-inspired writing. I use FL Studio and various cult classic VSTs to nail the specific sound. My approach to chord and melody writing inspired by Jazz and Uplifting Trance makes this unique blend of genres addicting by putting them in a maximalist pop setting. Hire me for your next glaringly abrasive pop song, album or remixes, which will undoubtedly electrify your fans for a good time. I also have skills in hyperreal graphic design if that’s something you’re interested in, making album covers, 3D typography, etc.

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Olipra

  1. Q: How would you describe your style?

  2. A: I’m always looking to push the pop sound to the extreme, by exaggerating known characteristics or by incorporating elements from more electronic genres.

  3. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  4. A: Yasutaka Nakata. He’s very mysterious about his process and I’m just very curious how a day in the studio with him is like.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: Trust your ear more than theory.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: Mainstream pop, experimental pop, and everything in between.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: My MIDI configuration skills which includes MIDI transcribing and an ease to put what I have in mind on the piano roll and know it sounds good.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: My maximalist and experimental approach to pop music, making sure to always keep things unique and interesting, in a fun way!

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: I often like to work around an existing acapella and build the song around it, but I can also make a beat from scratch if the client wants so.

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I produce everything on a desktop computer through FL Studio using ATH-M50X headphones.

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: Everyone affiliated with the PC Music collective. Their way of pushing pop to the extreme inspires me everyday.
