I have been recording and releasing music for 2 decades and worked with engineers and producers from amateur to platinum record selling status. So trust me when I say Juan is the real deal! He exceeded my expectations for the mix! I hear both warmth AND clarity in my mix and his example mixes. This is difficult to achieve and is the reason why I can't recommend him enough!
Great job and great sound! It once again exceeded my expectations and took my music to another level!
Interview with Juannarabel
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will do my best to take your song to the next level and more.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can I sound louder? - Yes! But you will lose dynamics! Yes! But you will lose timbre quality! No! It is not necessary! You are a voice and a guitar that sings whispering!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: "amor ausencia" - a collective project where I gathered many artists from the local scene to pay tribute to a social cause through a video clip. I was in charge of the song's string arrangement, the band's adaptation, the recording, the production and the mixing! A crazy 2 months of tireless work! And it came out wonderful! I love that production and its purposes with society!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing, mixing, mixing...
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: no

A: Bold, daring, very respectful of what music offers and needs
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Justin Vernon, I love your creative ability
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: 1- Less is always more! 2- Respect the processes! Don't start mixing if it's not recorded well, don't start producing if the song isn't yet consistent in its form.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Acoustic (Jazz, Folk, singer-songwriter, Funky)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Produce, Mixing
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: what is necessary for it to grow, sometimes with very little the song grows enormously. Sometimes it needs more time. It will depend on the production chain.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: To mix, I receive the project, put it in the ProTools session and listen to it two or three times. While I'm organizing the session, I make decisions about the aesthetic approach of the song.
