Vocalist w. 10+ years experience. Authentic, emotive vocals. Folk, indie rock, soul, vocal production, vocal arrangements, BV’s, and ethereal vocals. Do you want to bring some heart, soul, and emotion into your vocals? I got you.
Hi! I'm Shel. I've been singing & songwriting for 10+ years & producing for 4 years. As an artist myself, I know songs can be precious. I approach each project with attention & care.
I’m very experienced singing folk, indie rock, soul, americana, & alt/indie pop (Carole King, Sharon Van Etten, Billie Holiday, Billie Eilish, Florence + the Machine, Lapsley, The Japanese House). Bringing emotion & heart to a vocal is my bread & butter.
I usually remain anonymous & don’t do features to keep projects here separate from my artist projects, but open to discussing if the song aligns with my other projects.
WHAT I OFFER:
- Female singer = $150
- Topline melody (1 melody track) = $150
- Topline melody + lyrics = $300
- Doubles/Harmonies/BV’s/Adlib vocals & arrangements = $50+
HOW IT WORKS:
*** All projects are work-for-hire for a one time fee. ***
- Send me your track with as much detail as possible of what you’re looking for.
- We chat & agree on the terms.
- Once 50% is funded, I get to work.
- I send tracks as mp3s for approval/feedback within a week.
- If revisions are needed, I’ll make them and send revised tracks.
- 2 revision rounds included, $50 per round after. I want you to be 100% happy!
- Once you approve final tracks, I send dry/wet WAVs after remaining funds are released.
Looking forward to collaborating with you on your next project!

Endorse Shel Kim RollisonIt is such a gift to work with Shel! She is organized, efficient, and her talent is undeniable. She has such a dynamic range when it comes to music and production. Her passion for creating beautiful soundscapes shows itself in her vocals, her ear for harmony and layered instruments, and the thoughtfulness of her musical choices. I've been lucky enough to work with her in multiple capacities from album creation to song writing, recording, mixing, and post-production (as well as live performances) and we've been so happy with what we've created together.
Shel has helped bring to life many songs for my band, LVDY. She is extremely easy to work with, attentive to detail and has a magnificent ear. She produced a 10 song LP for us and supported us deeply in developing additional melodies, harmonies, and instrumentation within those tracks. I have always been captivated by the delicate nature in which she approaches songs. I can't forget to mention her incredible voice! It has been a pleasure to work with her and if you're considering it, I suggest you go for it!
Interview with Shel Kim Rollison
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I produced my friends' band's (LVDY) full length album (The Woods), and it was a joy to not only produce, but to play and sing on it. It was such an honor to help bring their creative vision to life, and also bring my palette to the table.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Personally, I'm working on a few collaborations on singles, a full length album, an EP of acoustic covers, and an EP of ambient, ethereal music.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll do everything I can to make you feel excited about what I'm bringing to your song or project.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Find someone who can not only bring you the technical piece missing from your project, i.e. a female vocal, a drummer, a mixing engineer, but also take it to a level or bring in an energy and creativity that helps make it even better.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Setup up your studio and workflow to be able to start recording as quick as possible when something hits. You don't want to miss capturing something great because you're fiddling with technical stuff.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring emotion and authenticity to a song. I combine my technical skills with an ability to support hearing and feeling what the heart of a song needs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Once I have the parameters for what a project or client needs, I allow myself to be creative in the sandbox that's been created. I work intuitively and quickly, recording initial takes and working from there. I try to capture the heart of something and trust that out of the gate, and then come back with a producer's ear to hear what's working and what needs more exploration.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Vocally, Billie Holiday is an all time inspiration. She didn't have a large vocal range, but it was what she did with her range that impacted people. She brought emotion and heart to every word she sang, and that has always inspired me. In terms of music production, Finneas, Andrew Huang, and Fay Wildhagen are some I learn a lot from. Finneas inspires me in being minimal and intentional with production choices. Andrew inspires me to create unique sounds and play. Fay inspires me to bring intuition into the process.
