My name is Thiago Franzim and I'm a Brazilian musician and researcher based in Berlin. My artistic approach encompasses my work as a guitarist, composer and researcher in the field of sound/radio art and music education. My main instrument is the electric guitar. I'm fluent and specialized in rock/metal/blues/country solos and accompaniments. I have a background in classical guitar which I studied during my music degree, so I am comfortable with sheet music reading and virtuoso-like/complex music with odd time signatures/sonorities.

Through respect and focus, my approach is highly based on listening. Whatever project I’m involved in, I mainly try to contribute the best I can, capturing what each specific song asks for and requires. My main speciality is improvised guitar solos for rock/blues/metal tracks. I'm your guy for progressive/psychedelic rock, but will also be comfortable with vocal accompaniments, pop-tracks, ambient and soundscape work.

As an artist in my own right, my work investigates the use of the absurd, the strange and the comedic in the realm of rock n’roll. I carried out research about the use of radio as a creative platform, working with independent Brazilian radio collectives developing workshops, creating audio documentaries and performances based on sound collage. I have a lot of experience in the creation of soundtracks and original music.
