“Running Dog Music” is Tom Pile, New York-based musician. It's a play on multiple meanings: “imperialist running dogs” was a term of contempt, employed by Mao to deride Western culture’s relentless chase after the almighty dollar. Not descriptive of my approach to music or to life. “Running Dogs” also describes a lackey. I'm on nobody's leash.
