I've been in the industry for 20 years now. I Work for independent as well as Majors. I put my ears before my eyes. Multi nominated for several albums. I mix and master tracks for Argentina, Uruguay, Spain and the USA, and looking to expand! lets's do great music together !
Been working in music since I was 14. First as an assistant in a big studio, later as an engineer and then as a producer. I owned and managed several studios, and now I have my own environment : " Estudio Bulo " .
My place is a tailored hybrid studio with a rupert neve console and some nice outboard, combined with the power of UAD plugins.
I offer a variety of services:
I think Hybrid mixing its the way to go, I choose that workflow for my tracks and others. Its key to put attention to details and take the music where its meant to be taken without compromising.
I gather together all the stems + the stereo mix and use the channels of the neve and my analog outboard to mix balance and give color/ flavor to the audio. And then I master all the songs properly for digital/ vinyl and cd sources.
Ive been working on music for 20 years now. I have access to all top musicians in the scene, and I own a great studio for tracking with all Class A pre amps and outboard. If you are looking to track a session, lets give it a go!

15 ReviewsEndorse Nacho de la Riega
Nacho de la Riega is by far one of the best engineers I’ve worked with. He is a tech savvy and can not only work the knobs but is also a wonderful musician; which is key in the process of recording, producing and/or mixing music. I recorded my first album with him in Argentina more than 10 years ago and have worked with him ever since, sending him tracks to mix and master, both for my solo projects and with other groups I’ve worked with, like Sempiterno. We were actually at his studio recording this past December and as always, the vibe, atmosphere and professionalism were impeccable.
Nacho De La Riega is one of the finest recording engineers I've worked with in my professional life. Nacho is both a great tech and musician which I find it to be the best combo possible when working on an album. His experience and perspective have been educational in my work as a producer, not only as the person who works the knobs, but also the human aspect of it all. Knows how to treat anyone who comes into the studio with respect and is always open to suggestions and to try new things. I've done 8 projects and I'm looking forward for many, many more to come.
I had a wonderful experience working on my first album with Nacho de la Riega in 2016. He was in charged on the production, recording and masterizing. I found lots of experience, hi quality tech and excellent audio results. I will soon repeat the experience with my second album and I am looking forward to start.
I've worked with Nacho in many opportunities, and I have always been very satisfied with his work, he is always in a good mood and a very hard worker.
He handles each project with love and care as if it were his own, concerned with every detail so that you can get the best result.
I'm always looking forward to work with him, since it is always a wonderful and fun experience.
Nacho is very professional, patient, easy to work with! Have done 8 projects with him already and will keep on doing more! He tends to hit the nail pretty quickly and works pretty fast as well! He is very receptive and detaile
BULO IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RECORDING STUDIO EVER !!! AND WITH THE MOST TALENT AND BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE
SUPER PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIBLE !!!!
GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT EARS =GREAT MUSIC
THANKS NACHO !!!
Working with Nacho was a life-changing experience. not only a remarkable human being, but also a great teacher and a passionate artist. His constant search for beauty and sound expression is a fundamental part of our sound with Pyura. As we produce House/Pop music, we need to feel that hybrid electronic-organic texture in our masters and Nacho is just the perfect engineer for that.
I had the opportunity to record, mix and master in his studio with different projects: No Lo Soporto and Yoga. It is a pleasure to work with Nacho, the climate that is breathed in the atmosphere is of relaxation and joy, and this is essential for the recordings to flow in the best way. Nacho´s obbession regarding the quality of the audio guarantees a mark of excellence in the final result.

Nacho is so very professional and nice to work with, he is truly one of music's guardian for me in terms of how loyal he is to music and how attentive he is to every detail even in long sessions and those intense moments that encompass any professional recording session. He makes great audio, great mixes, owns high end gear which he operates in a superb manner and works with top musicians and creators all the time. He has a very humane and lovely way of putting creative teams together and guiding them the recording process, and that definitely comes through in his recordings!
I've worked with Nacho de la Riega in my 3 albums with my band "Vecina" (vecinacanciones: twitter, instagram and facebook) He'd masterized the first one ("Foto de un buen dia" 2012) and produced, recorded and masterized the other two ("después de la mudanza", 2015 and "formas de bucear" 2018). just as it looks, as time went by, we choosen to work with him over and over again. We found lots of experience, kindness leadership, hi quality tech and excellent audio results. I Highly recommend!
I worked with him several times, and I keep coming back to him because a) He has the perfect combination of technical/audio skills and knowledge, excellent project and people management, and musical sensitivity. He can wear all hats. b) He commits to every single project he works on. He won't do it just to get the money and move on to the next project, he puts his mind and heart on it. c) If something doesn't go as planned he is a problem solver, he won't let you put a spanner in the works - which us artists usually do. Nacho goes beyond mere service, he is a true partner.
Nacho is my go-to mastering engineer. I know that from the moment my productions get to his beloved studio BULO they can only get better. He has a fantastic musical taste, and always gets in-sync with what I want without even speaking. Besides his high quality, he always has the time and patience to explain everything he did and why, making it a perfect one-stop shop for recording, mixing, mastering & learning. Also really appreciate his boutique studio in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Always a successful experience!
Nacho is definitely my first option if a need to record, mix, or masterize a piece of music. We worked in almost 50 projects with excelent results. Working with him literally changed my ear and my perspective of audio. Has a lot of experience, great gear and a beautiful studio. But for me, the most important is that he has a great ear in a musical sense and knows how to get the sound that i want.
Give him a try and you will be back time after time.
Working with Nacho it’s an amazing experience. He has superb attention to details and great hardware to work with. The piano and Rhodes that he have are soooooo beautiful! Super recommended!
Nacho is the best mixer and mastering chief in the entire area. Excellent support and knowledge. His sensitivity in production can reach wonderful places. Thanks Nacho for all your work on my tracks. Cheers!
Interview with Nacho de la Riega
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Loli Molina 's Rubi is one of the finest albums I recorded and Produced. It was her third album, but we felt as it was the debut album. it was a magical process and I feel it all got into the vibe of those songs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I have several ongoing albums, but Im about to release and album from Fede Petro that Im quite proud of.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Im new on the platform, hopefully I will be able soon.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid ! no question. Digital for the flexibility and the recall possibilities and analog, for the sound!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I'll put the music first.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: the feeling that music is endless and that after so manny years, Im still amazed and thrill about it.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: I have a faulty mix, Can you fix it on the mastering ? I rather have a great mix and make an even greater master out of it.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That since I do jazz a lot, I can't do Dance and Ambient music as good or the other way around.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: All the necessary that give me a clear path to follow.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to music I ve done in the past, is the best way to get to know an engineer.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: EMI Curve Bender would be my n1. Follow by a neve console. A Telefunken u47 mic, a Zener Limiter and a FATSO
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as an assistant in the days we used tape machines. In my early twenties I started recording that led to producing a few years later. Being in every part of the chain, makes you understand each part and each role a whole lot better.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A Very patient one.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: wow ... hard to say, since they are several ! As of today, I would say Phoebe Bridgers and Rebecca Martin.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: ears first, eyes second.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work with singer/ songwriters to make albums, Jazz bands to do live sessions and all kinds of music to mix and master their songs.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Fast and accurate diagnostic on how we can make a track better.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Well it depends on the song and Genre. But the common factor is : make a GREAT listening experience that moves you.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I don't have a "typical " work process. It depends a LOT on the material. That's the nice thing about music and studio life...you don't get the same every day.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a hybrid setup. I mix in pro tools using UAD plug ins on " each channel " basis. All my channels go to a Rupert Neve console, where I insert analog gear on the sub and main mix. The return then is recorded back on pro tools. I generally use a Curve Bender and an SSL G master bus comp on the Master Insert, and Avalon Eqs, Manley and other gear on the sub groups. To record Im pretty straight forward, I have API, Neve, Avalon and Chandler pre amps that go to my Apollo.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A hole bunch really. From Tony Benett to spanish revolutionary Rosalia...I found inspiration in many many places. Music is endless, and that Its profoundly inspiring.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record mix and master music. But These days I have at least one Stem Mastering session per week.
