Brad gained experience studying under renowned mixing engineer, Luke Hendrickson, who has worked on albums for Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Jenn and Brian Johnson, and many more.
Brad spent his formative years working with touring bands, honing his musicianship, and writing and producing music. More recently, he worked as an audio engineer under Luke Hendrickson, creating the livestream mix for Bethel Church, which was streamed every week to millions of people. Brad also worked for Bethel Music, honing his skills in music publishing, production, and audio engineering.
In 2023, Brad opened his own recording studio in Redding, CA. By owning his own studio, Brad is able to keep his rates low and only charge for services needed. Working with Brad, you can guarantee your music is in good hands.

Brad is incredible at what he does! His ear for detail and the way he mixed our live worship project was more than we could have ever expected. Our team was so pleased by the way everyone was highlighted in the mix and we have gotten nothing but positive feedback from all who have heard our album!
Brad is a pro, pure and simple. Heโs so good at pivoting and making you feel super safe and comfortable with making decisive creative choices as an artist, and he is also incredibly encouraging while infusing the encouragement with honesty about when he sees things not working, which is an excellent combo to have. And on a personal level, just such a gem of a human being.
This guy is the solution to your next project. Heโs got a genius way of digging down to the source any issue or task you give him, and then building a beautiful ladder to a polished sounding finished product. Hands-down best around, would recommend 10/10.
Brad has been a salvation to my projects! He has always been available. He came in and helped me de-glitch my DAW. He was available and patient for my never-ending questions. He mixed my songs with punctuality and added creative flare that I would have never had thought to doโฆ (If you hire him, give him creative license to tweak your recordings โ heโll surprise you). AND he was affordable! I suspect Brad Erb will play a major part in my future projects.
I have recorded at the top studios in LA, Nashville, etc. I am a soprano and I have hated what some sound engineers in studio have done to my voiceโฆbut the first time I recorded vocals in Brads studio I was shocked and extremely pleased at how he dialed it in immediately. I want to do all my vocals at his studio. Brad is also extremely gifted at arranging and producing any style of music and playing all the instruments required to produce the track if needed. Architekt Studios is a one stop shop.
Top producer! Love working with Brad and hope to continue in the future.
Interview with Architekt Studios
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog has a beautiful warmth to it that is unquestionably pleasing to the ear and digital is unbelievably versatile and continues to push music to levels we've only previously imagined before. A combination of both is ideal in my opinion.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Varies greatly, but I really love and aim for projects that are folk, gospel, EDM, country, rock, pop, and indie.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I would say the ability to see the bigger picture and take a song to the next level.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a deep understanding of music engineering, theory, and desire to make each project as good as it possibly can be. My love of music is what fuels my work and I give everything I have to bring out the best in the music and the artists.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It really depends. Every song and project is different and each of them require a different solution because they all have their idiosyncratic challenges that need to be met and overcome. All that to say that I aim to serve the song and pursue the best path towards that aim regardless of what I've done before.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Generally speaking, I am normally either producing or mixing a project. Occasionally I will be hired to do drums, guitars or other instruments on a project, but normally I am behind the console helping to engineer the production of a song.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started my engineering career in my teens when I picked up a version of Pro Tools available at the time. Additionally, I am a multi instrumentalist and have been performing since I was at least eleven years old. Eventually, I worked for Bethel Music and studied under Luke Hendrickson and other greats of the music industry and that launched my career to where it is today.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Neve 1073, Universal Audio Apollo 16, Neumann U87, Barefoot Monitors, and a Macbook Pro w/ Pro Tools.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Hands down it would be the American singer and songwriter Gregory Alan Isakov. His artistry is so unbelievably unique and unmatched in my opinion that he stands on his own and has completely carved a new path that no one had even perceived before him.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Simple. The song is the most important aspect of music. And behind that is the message/meaning and the emotional experience that a listen receives when experiencing the music. Every decision (whether as a singer, songwriter, producer, or engineer) should be serving the song and the message behind it.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Luke Hendrickson and Chris Greely are massive inspirations to me. They are constantly pushing the ceiling for excellence and their intentions are to always do their best. Knowing them on a personal level solidified their legitimacy in my world because I now understand that they practice what they preach and they are as good, if not better, as what people perceive them to be in the audio industry.
