check_circleVerified (Client)This is the second time I've worked with Cameron and the guys in BURNOUT, and it's another great song with cool parts and performances. Cameron is easy to work with, communicates clearly and specifically, and is open to feedback and suggestions. An all around good experience.

Interview with Cam Davids
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Country, Bluesy, cheeky, and shoot-first ask questions later.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Ryan Tedder, that man's an expert in everything from the craft of songwriting, to production and business, and I'd love to see more of his workflow in real time. From a personal standpoint however, I'd sell my firstborn to work with Chris Stapleton.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Double/ triple lead guitar tracks when there's a high point in your song! Keep one (lightly saturated) going down the middle, and pan two more doubles on either side to give it depth and width. Really makes a lead pop. Works to a lesser degree for acoustic leads.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Country, Folk, Indie Rock, and Country Pop!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Easily, my lyricism. It's the skill I've honed every week for well over a decade now.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a clarified vision-- or my own to each and every project, helping you find what that is. A motor for the group as a collaborator, and a concentrated shot of creativity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I write topline and guitar collaboratively or on my own, and tend to pen / voice memo the lyrics or record live into DAW while arranging melody ideas.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Microphones, amps, pedalboard, a few guitars, and dedication!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Those who can do it all-- writing, producing, and performing their songs like Stapleton, Bruno mars, Finneas and more. That's what inspired me to learn how to produce my own tracks, and for others!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm known for lyricism, melody writing, guitar work in every form and helping songwriters and non-lyricists alike find their vision for each individual project!
