BIO
I'm a 2023 Pattonville High School graduate from St. Louis, Missouri, and I currently attend SIUE. I've had many mentors and teachers, including Andy Tichenor and Denny McFarland, but I currently study under Garrett Schmidt (trumpet and big band), Jason Swagler (combo), and Miles Vandiver (recording techniques) while at school. I have performed with the Jazz, Orchestra, Theatre, and Classical departments and have played lead trumpet in musicals such as Gypsy, Chicago, The Wizard of Oz, and The Little Mermaid.
MUSIC
I excel in various genres, having earned multiple state-level awards as a soloist and lead trumpet player. I performed in the world premiere of the St. Louis Big Band Contingent led by Dave Weckl at 17 years old and was named "National Band Student of the Year" by the time I was 18. The versatility of jazz is a key factor in my ability to succeed in various musical contexts.
PRODUCTION
I enjoy crafting on a broad spectrum, with songs of my own in genres such as Rock, R&B, Jazz, and more. I believe this is what has given me the ability to identify areas that require improvement and implement the necessary modifications to achieve optimal results.
