I specialize in giving a major label sound to serious artists and producers. I pride myself on being open-minded, accommodating, and easy to work with. I want the creator to hear their vision in the final master so I always listen to the roughs and respect the intention of the artist and producer.
My name is Christopher BIllik but everyone calls me O.Z. I have been engineering professionally since I graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts in 2003. I am the engineer behind some of Dallas' biggest early 2000s rap hits like Big Tuck "Southside The Realist" and Damm D "Love Me". These days I specialize more in pop, r&b and other overlapping genres like latin pop, afrobeat, amapiano, and other forms of vocal driven electronic music. Over the years I have worked with tons of independent and major label artists and in a wide variety of genres. I love engineering because there's always something new to learn or try. A lot of artists love my first pass and release it with no revisions. Most artists have a couple things they want adjusted which I encourage. However, I pride myself on having no ego so in the rare instance that my first pass is all the way left and you were envisioning it all the way right (or blue or green or wet or dry) : Let me know and I can make it happen. I always say it ain't nothin but a few knobs, and I've been twisting knobs all my life.
