If I could give Seb 6 stars I would. After he came back with the first draft I had a few changes that I wanted to make to the lyrics and melody in spots. So he suggested we do a zoom call. Honestly not thrilled with my service at all. took forever to get the vocals to me and then I was presented with a rushed, mediocre vocal project.
these vocals are borderline out of tune and it’s not friendly on the ears. the worst part is he partnered me with his label company to find a label and it's been 4 months with no results. Interview with SÉB MONT
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My number one goal is to create something that has that genuine, creative, and high quality sound. My second goal is to deliver to my clients as quickly as possible. So I typically get started right away after a client funds a job. If the job consists of writing lyrics and topline, I workshop it with my co-writer and send a demo with a watermark with an increasingly quick turnaround time. From there, we discuss any revisions that need to be made and continue to finish and deliver song. Once the client is happy with everything, I upload the stems and away we go!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There are no boundaries to what you can and can't create.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I do a ton of EDM, House & Pop music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Recording vocals and songwriting.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I try to bring passion, authenticity, and creativity to everything I work on in the highest quality possible.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run my rig off of a suped-up iMac. I use Logic Pro X and Apollo. I also have a ton of plugins (NI Komplete Ultimate & Komplete Kontroller, Waves Bundle, Valhalla Reverb, Output Bundle, Additive Drums & Keys, Steven Slate, etc). I also use a Slate VMS to record my instruments and vocals which allows me full freedom to be able to change any Mic sound, EQ or compressor post-recording to be able to deliver high-quality recordings both processed and completely dry.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm really inspired by the producers and musicians who think outside the box and chase after sounds that no one has heard yet.
