Clean Masters | Visionary Mixes

I’m Andreas Skoglösa, I live on Sintra Mountain in Portugal.

Mastering is my main gig, and I'm currently doing that out of the fantastic facilities at ARDA Recorders in Porto.

There I have access to an amazing mastering setup with a pair of ATC SCM110ASL Pro flush-mounted on springs in a non-environment acoustically designed room.

In that room is also a great analog chain with pieces from Shadow Hills, Gyraf and Dangerous. The chain is being fed by a fully loaded BURL B16 Mothership, which in and of itself has a nice variety of flavours thanks to a selection of op-amps and transformers.

From my home in Sintra, I mix ITB and prep masters in iZotope RX. Every master begins and ends in RX where I do technical analysis and fades.

My approach to mastering is all about transparency. I always make sure that the quality of the mix is preserved, and that the master only improves upon what is already there. I take great care in managing tonality and dynamics, and only add colour if the music really needs it.

I work closely with independent artists, producers, and labels all over the world who want to bring their music to the next level, making sure that their music is ready for release.
