Interview with Doug Bright

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Im working intermittently on my own album that translates the warmth and passion of my jazz heroes Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, and Acker Bilk to the chromatic harmonica. I play my own accompaniments on old-style stride piano, brushed drums and, on one track, acoustic bass.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I love the sound of those old records, but I'm firmly convinced that it can be captured or recaptured digitally if the engineer is willing to pay attention to it.
