Pianist | Vintage Synths

Abbey Road Pianist and Keyboard Player. I've played professional for 15 years and have experience in many genres. I was a Cathedral Music Director at 22 after studying Piano at Berklee in Boston. I'll happily record my studio Schimmel 7ft2 Grand or any array of the analogue synths I have until we get the take that's right for you.

I am lucky to have a Schimmel 7ft2 Grand Piano with some very nice Sennheiser MKH 20 omni mics in my studio. This piano sounds great on anything. Similar to a Steinway with a rich bass, slightly more mellow than the usual bright Yamaha's, but still clean and clear. It's a lovely sound to mix too.
I capture this instrument with a pair of Earthworks Pre's and from there into an RME 802. I also have the option to capture to 1/4" if you want that flavour. There's also the option for you to patch in via zoom and direct the session. The piano is kept in tune and the studio designed by Munro (Spitfire Audio). It sounds flat & clean.

I have detailed understanding of harmony and arranging. I love 70's/ 80's music in particular and have a good ear. I work at Abbey Rd in London as an arranger, keyboardist and conductor with members of the LSO. Mainly I work on classic rock there including Mike & the Moonpies, Jon Anderson of Yes, as well as jazz & pop records.
