Chizi Owhondah Natha-Amadi, popularly known as Urktave is a Nigerian international recognized record producer, song writer, composer and audio engineer. Born in Port Harcourt, Rivers state on 22nd March, 1996. He officially kicked-off his musical career in 2019, after been groomed by one of the world’s renowned music academies “Yamaha Music Academy”, Malaysia. Which before then he has be in practice of beat making while a teenager and has visited numerous music studios.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Basically, I produce the beat on my favorite DAWs (Logic Pro & Ableton). If it’s a full track, I make sure my client gets their lyrics composed. I take the vocal session, once these stages are completed, then I kick start the post production session, which is the mixing and mastering session.

A: Client satisfaction
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: For over 10 years now.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My Master piece project for the year 2024. My EP album. Whereby I’m working with other producers of Afrobeat genre. The project is comprises of series of urbanized Afrobeats, for the lovers of African sounds to feel the groove.

A: None for now.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. Digital makes it way easier. Just like having it all at one spot.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That fact that I brainstorm at all cost, to bring a client’s vision to reality.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: That would be my Laptop, Audio Interface, MIDI Keybord, Microphone and my solar panel.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly Afrobeat.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The Afrobeat gurus, Oskido, SARZ and Masterkraft
