Need guitar? I'm here for it. I've been playing and recording music professionally for 15 years. From indie artists, grammy-winning producers to world class musicians. I'm here to work with you! I believe in the power of a song. Let's make it the best it can be.
Hi all,
My name is Tim Schilling. I'm a musician and native of Philadelphia, PA. I'm here to offer guitar tracks for your musical project or creative vision. While guitar is my primary instrument, I often double on banjo, mandolin and ukelele while working in musical theater situations. Can also add a little bit of bass depending on track as well. I believe in doing the right thing for the music presented. Serve the song.
My goal is to achieve "what you hear in your head" for your project. Favorite artist/sound? Let's go for that. We'll make sure we have exactly what you're looking for.

Interview with Tim Schilling
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie Pop or Gospel
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: (I hope) an energy that is uniquely me. I want to capture the essence of what I'm feeling for the song without disrespecting the vision for the project. Sometimes all you need is a good guitar hook. While its easy to throw a bunch of different ideas to serve your own ego, it's probably best overall to keep it simple and effective.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I'll load the song into Logic. Usually a first listen includes me with a pencil and paper to jot down the form or anything unorthodox. From there I'll make some markers in the DAW in order to help with tracking/workflow. After that dial in some tones. By this point the song is already in my ear after a few listens, so I have some things in mind to play immediately. Then its off to the races.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mainly use a UAD Apollo Twin as my main piece of gear. Guitar wise, usually a Tele or Les Paul through an AC-30 using a Two Notes Audio Torpedo Captor X.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Julian Lage. Richard Tee. Jason Isbell. Pete Yorn. The Beach Boys.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record guitar tracks for artists and send an unmixed stem of parts that I've recorded.
