Music was always “my thing” growing up. When my brothers were asking for toys for Christmas, I asked for instruments. That eventually led me to my master’s degree on trumpet and touring on drums in a band for a couple of decades. I was then inspired to go to recording school, and now stand in awe of the talent I get to work with each day!

I get the sounds in my head out of my speakers using vintage and cutting-edge recording techniques to create a vibe that is both timeless yet relevant to the ears of today. The room that I work in is professionally-designed, extremely accurate, and my ears have been trained on how to listen for the smallest (but still very important) details. I do whatever it takes to make my mixes competitive with or beating major label releases with budgets 5-10x of what I charge. I sincerely care about the music that artists trust me with.

I feel that my rates accurately represent the amount of time that I typically invest in a song. That said, I don’t ever like to turn down a great opportunity: Please don’t hesitate to reach out to talk about your project, even if the budget is tight.

Mark Toliusis and Pat Sebastian are active members of Tennessee Songwriters Association International (TSAI).
