My goal is to deliver powerful and defined mixes without compromises, focusing on your needs and the fulfilment of them, keeping fast and clear comuniction. There is more: as professional drummer, I can record high quality drums if required. I will be satisfied if you will be pleased working together.
Hi, I am Andrea De Carolis, I'm a professional mixing engineer and drummer.
I studied drum since I was 10 and I approached mixing in 2010.
As Drummer, I studied with some of most influent musicians such as John Macaluso, Peter Wildoer, Hannes Grossmann. I took part to multiple and different projects ranging from Pop to Metal, recording albums and playing live around the world.
Despite my experince as mixing engeneering is different, my approach is always professional and passionate.
In 2020 i started my collaboration with Luca Fareri @ Synchrony Studios.
If needed, I can write drum parts for your songs. Also, you can give me your ideas for songs and after everything has been discussed, I will record the drums; afterwards you'll get a high quality mp3 demo of your song -including drums of course-. After that, if you are happy with the result, I will send you all 24 raw individual tracks (final take).
I can work on material provided by you from 44Khz To 96 Khz.
My personal mixing approach is HYBRID type.
Equipment:
Drums (Yamaha/Tama)
Snare (Ludwig/Mapex/DS Drums)
Cymbals (Paiste/Sabian/Zildjan)
Mics (Audix/Rode/Se Electronics/Sennheiser)
Preamps/Compressors (Warm Audio/DBX/Art/TL Audio/Focusrite/Presonus/Klark Teknik and many more)
Motu Converters

Interview with Andrea De Carolis
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The first approach its the same for both: listen the demo of the song/s. After that, I'll start to write my ideas or the charts of the demo. Does that, its time to record. If its only a mixing work, after the demo, I'll start to make a cool balance and optimize all the sounds the the client gave me. After that, its time to artistic work.
