Interview with Young Sabbath
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My own music studio for beat making, recording, mixing and mastering.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital, because that is what I have had access to. But I will definitely work in a hybrid way as soon as I can.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Make your vision a reality and even exceed your expectations.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: To dedicate myself to what I like the most and to be part of new projects.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: The cost of the services and I answer that it depends on what you need.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: To be clear about what I like but not to focus one hundred percent. Now I do.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What style of music do you do? What service do you require? What are your references?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Check his work, production and mixing is not an exact science; it depends a lot on musical preference.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, interfase, monitors, preamp and mic
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar at a very young age. Which developed my musical ear. I played classical and electric guitar for a long time. Four years ago I started in music production and thanks to having knowledge of music theory it was not complicated for me. Since then I haven't stopped producing, mixing and mastering. About 4 months ago I left my job as a clinical chemist to dedicate on my studio, that I was building little by little. I have a room with acoustic treatment ideal for recording vocals and monitoring mixing and mastering. An Apollo Twin interface, Slate Digital M1 microphone and a large collection of plugins regularly used in the industry. I want to showcase my talent and learn from the vision of other artists.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like to experiment with unique sounds. I used to be a big fan of rock but then I became aware of all the things you can do in a DAW with the different forms of synthesis and be able to have the sound of any instrument without having to be a prodigy.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Start by learning from what already works in the music industry. Get to know your singers' vocal range and your own preferences.

A: Urban music like a trap, rap, reggaeton, R&B, afrobeat. But I have also worked in metal music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Beat making
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Understand the client's vision for their music. I produce the beat, mix and master from a client's reference. I ask for feedback and make corrections as requested.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Apollo Twin Audio Card, with classic preamplifier emulation technology, industry standard high quality A/D and D/A conversion. Low latency monitoring. Fourth generation KRK 5-inch monitoring system. Acoustically treated studio suitable for recording and mix review.
