I almost always compose from my studio or from the bus window, since I consider those moments and places my best philosophical school, places where the phrases that I always write on my mental piano flow better, then on the marimba or on the drums or on my cajón. Symphonic percussionist, drummer and composer from the Faculty of Arts of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, in the city of Bogotá. I currently work as an independent musician with my solo project "Álex Vanegas", I have taken various master classes with symphonic percussionists from different countries such as Katarzyna Micka in Poland, Kristine Marcoux from Canada, Ivan Manzanilla from Mexico, among others; Similarly, I have studied with Simon Smith in the field of production for short and feature films.

I can write songs for you, works for chamber music or symphony orchestra or make arrangements, I am interested in letting the music speak for itself and telling me which way to go. I cordially invite you to view my reel and give me the opportunity to work together and form a community.
