Hi! I'm a composer and producer with more than 10 years of professional experience. I strongly believe that we should help each other and be open to achieving the best results while enjoying the process. Don't hesitate to reach out to me, and let's make great music together.
I'm a 35-year-old composer from Madrid, Spain. After completing my piano and composition degrees at the Royal School of Music in the UK, I spent over 10 years producing and playing with rock bands. During this time, I also earned my Master's Degree in Film Scoring and relocated to LA to learn the craft of mixing, mastering, composing, and orchestrations. Now, I am a full-time producer/composer, eager to collaborate with new individuals and achieve remarkable outcomes together.
I uphold strong work ethics, always striving to deliver the very best. Each project I undertake is approached with immense care and the understanding that every job offered by a client is a blessing, deserving of my time and energy. So, I want to express my gratitude in advance for reading this, and I'm excited to hear from you.
Best regards,
Luis

Interview with Luis Lopez Pinto
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Whether you're composing, arranging, mixing, or mastering, remember to rely on your ears rather than your eyes. This piece of advice, although not originally mine, holds great value and is worth sharing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mainly soundtracks and alternative rock. But also Metal and acoustic. A little bit of everything.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Empathy and effective communication are crucial.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Maintaining respect for the original idea while offering guidance and achieving exceptional results.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After a meeting and upon being hired, I craft a unique template from my collection of customized templates that I've developed over the years. This template is tailored to suit the specific song and the desired end results. Following this, I dedicate time to listening, editing, and potentially recording and arranging, depending on the project's requirements. Subsequently, I move on to the mixing stage, implementing automations as needed. Once the mix is refined, I meticulously label the files and export them in accordance with the technical specifications of each project.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a history of working in numerous studios, but since 2017, I've opted for a highly capable and efficient home studio setup. My setup includes Genelec monitors and an Adam Audio subwoofer, which are powered by my SSL2 audio interface. Additionally, I've integrated analog gear, such as a 1176 clone, for those who favor a warmer sound. I primarily work "in the box" using both Cubase Pro and ProTools. I firmly believe that it's not so much about the equipment, but rather the quality of one's ears that truly makes a difference in the end result.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources. While I have a strong affinity for metal and rock genres, I also find inspiration in folk and acoustic atmospheres. As both a composer and a musician, I am particularly captivated by the passion artists infuse into their work. Their stories and backgrounds continually inspire me. I believe that fostering a sense of community and collaboratively bringing art to life is immensely valuable and enriching.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am accustomed to creating full productions, ranging from a simple voice and guitar arrangement to a complete instrumental track. Additionally, I offer my expertise as a mixing and mastering engineer for a diverse array of musical styles. Beyond that, I also specialize in songwriting and film composing. However, my primary focus on this platform is to provide production services. I'm eager to collaborate and assist in bringing musical projects to life.
