Jon Sterckx is an innovative tabla player & percussionist with over 30 years experience of working with non western percussion and a variety of Music genres and traditions. Jon has played & recorded sessions for musicians & producers from around the globe, including 2x Grammy winning composer Christopher Tin (with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra).

Jon has recorded sessions for musicians & producers from around the globe, including 2x Grammy winning composer Christopher Tin (alongside Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & mixed at Abbey Road), Grammy Nominated producer Arun Shenoy & UK Folk Award winners Phil Henry & Hannah Martin.
Jon has performed at all the UK's major festivals inc. WOMAD, Glastonbury, Musicport, Drum Camp. Melas inc. Cardiff, Glasgow & Belfast Mela and has performed twice at the globally renowned TED events.
Jon also records and provides content for the online music creation platform Bandlab.
In his solo live sampling performances , Drumscapes, Jon skilfully brings percussion from across the globe together with 21st century technology in a unique blend of rhythmic soundscapes, bouncy world rhythms and high energy drumming.
Jon can record straightforward percussion tracks, or 'Drumscapes' style rhythmic soundscapes and loops for your music.
