I am an award winning and studied jazz pianist, holding a qualification in jazz studies. I have played venues around the world, and have recorded my own music that has been heard in radio stations like Sirius XM. My most recent performance was Dizzy's club in New York city. I have worked as a session musician for over eight years.
My playing strengths are in the jazz, soul and r&b genres, but I am also flexible in other styles including pop, hip-hop and house music. I have a strong understanding of musical harmony, how to create good songs or develop existing songs. I offer the ability to compose music, record various synthesizer sounds and I read music well, so I am able to play along to existing music.
If you are looking for a fresh and modern keyboard sound for your r&b, hip-hop or house song, I can assist you with that.

check_circleVerifiedI have been a longtime subscriber of Thembi. When I recently visited South Africa and was inspired to write a song, Thembi was one of the first musicians I thought of who could do justice to it. Amazed to find that she was open to proposals on SoundBetter, I immediately contacted her and she was very gracious to record a few takes over my lead sheet. Truly a beautiful interpretation of my composition.
