Alessandro Ciniero is a recording engineer with a strong passion towards analogue domain. He recorded various dutch acts like Thames, MIMO, Banji and Cherry on Top. He also recorded and mixed foley for cinema and television.
I deepened my knowledge of music production and postproduction techniques, recording studio facilities, digital audio processing, acoustics, signal theory and electroacoustics while attending the “Cinema and Media Engineering” degree at Politecnico di Torino and the Sound Engineering and Music Production Advanced Course at Abbey Road Institute in Amsterdam. This also gave me the opportunity to meet and work with other local sound engineers and composers. The art and the act of recording is to capture or create a moment in time. Whether it is a live group of musicians playing together to achieve that “perfect” take, or a single artist playing an instrument at a time to create a final musical work, the engineer is the vehicle to facilitate that process.
