Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I'm proud of everything I've done so far but I'm especially proud of my work in 2019-2022 when I worked on the albums "SS20" and "g.o.a.t. uslugi" by Yanix, a major rap artist from Russia. I produced beats for 4 out of 12 songs on "SS20" and 5 out of 10 songs on "g.o.a.t. uslugi" and some of them became big regional hits.

A: Soulful.

A: Manny Marroquin!

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: The fact that it doesn't feel like a job! I can work on music all day everyday!

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: About turnaround time and revisions. I provide unlimited free revisions and the turnaround time is usually 3-5 days depending on the size of the project.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That you can make a good mix out of badly recorded material.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: How do you want your song to sound? Is there a reference or a rough mix?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Give me as much information as you can. Explain how you want the song to sound, show me a reference or a rough mix if you have one.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Kendrick Lamar. I think he's one of the best artists of our time.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: The most important thing I've learned throughout my career is that LESS IS MORE. This applies to both producing and mixing.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: I have a good understanding and ear for what a song needs and what it doesn't.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I always try to emphasize the best qualities of a song and try to make it sound ""expensive".

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: First I listen to the song to catch the vibe and understand what the song needs, and then I start mixing. I always start with the drums, then I move on to the bass and the rest of the elements. Finally, when I feel that the instrumental sounds great I start working on the vocals. In case of producing, I always start with a melody to set the vibe and mood of the future song. Then I work on the bass and drums.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: Setup: MacBook Pro M2, Audient iD14, Adam T5V, Beyerdynamic DT990, Akai MPC Studio II. DAWs: Logic Pro, FL Studio. Plugins: Antares, FabFilter, Universal Audio, Plugin Alliance, Soundtoys, Oeksound, Softube, Sonnox, iZotope, Valhalla, Eventide, Newfangled, Kazrog, Waves Audio, etc.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Currently I'm working on new mixes and beats for several clients.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: For me digital is better, more convenient and faster workflow.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: We will work on the song until you say it is 100% ready!

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Laptop, hard drive, audio interface, headphones, monitors.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I've been making music for 10 years, 6 of which I've been doing it professionally.
