Young but experienced duo from Germany open to almost any vibe and musical genre. We offer almost everything: from beat, songwriting, lyrics as well as mixing and mastering. With us you get the complete package at a more than fair price.
We are 404 Molly and JNOSCH, part of the duo "Khao Niao", in our mid-twenties and now active in the music business for over 10 years. Over the years we have produced a wide variety of genres (from Trap to RnB, Hip Hop, Pop, Indie, Synthwave, Alternative, Electro, etc.), written hundreds of songs and collaborated with a wide variety of artists. It is important to us to stand out from the crowd, because we see this as one of the greatest recipes for success.
Since we started small ourselves and know how hard the beginning can be (also regarding finances) we would like to offer our services here on Soundbetter at a fair price. Despite the small price we promise first class work with a lot of attention to detail. We are happy to adapt to your wishes, ideas and preferences.
We offer instrumentals, songwriting, lyrics, top line writing, vocal recordings, mixing, mastering and, if desired, ghost producing. A feature with us is also possible. Prrices are only a rough guide and can be negotiated depending on the effort and scope. We are also happy to make a custom quote for e.g. EPs or albums.
For mixing and mastering we use Genelec monitors (2 x 8320 APM SAM & 7350 APM) with room correction. Furthermore we use plugins from Universal Audio (Neve 1073, Pulteq EQs etc.), Waves and Soundtoys.

Interview with Khao Niao
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We work together until you are 100% satisfied.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The freedom to give free rein to your feelings and proudly present a unique end product at the end.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: With Auto-Tune, anyone can sing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What exactly did you have in mind? What do you want to express with your art? What feelings do you feel?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Take your time when looking for a provider and check first if the chemistry between you fits.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, speakers, microphone, interface and a ton of Thai food.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Starting 10 years ago in the children's room, we have steadily evolved and gone through various phases of genres.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Diverse and unique.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Weeknd. He makes a hit out of even the simplest beat.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Stop overthinking!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: We work on a wide variety of genres. We prefer to produce pop-heavy music with influences from RnB, Trap, Synthwave and Indie.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Our strongest skill are the uniqueness of our work and especially producing and top line writing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: All our work is full of feelings and joy. Music is more than just a job for us.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Often we produce only a basic framework of the instrumental and record melodies on it in "nonsense language". After that we build more elements of the beat around it and finally write the lyrics.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We have two separate studios, but often come together to make music. We like to keep it simple and tidy so we can fully concentrate on the music and creative workflow. The exact equipment can be found in the gear list.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: We are most inspired by Charlie Puth (for his sheer creativity and exceptional workflow) and Pharrell Williams (for his extraordinary liberated workflow).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most often we produce instrumentals and write lyrics and melodies to go with them.
