André had a vocal color in mind for his song and we worked until we found the right one for it to sound great! Communication and feedback between every turnaround were great and his track and song were amazing.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To always deliver the best of me.
Q: What do you like most about your job?

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much?...My answer is 'depends'!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People think I write 'jingles' which always sounds far too christmassy for I really do!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Deadline, Details, Mood, Delivery format...standard nuts and bolts questions, but I like to know about who I work for also...
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The more detail a client has for me to work with the better the results...in general.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Something without batteries...piano/rhodes mk1, Sennheiser headphones, Roland tr8, roland boutique jp08, and fridge for the beer!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: 15 years...not really a career path but more of a meandering wander! Started out in Engineering, and then a live session player (sax), then got into producing and help found Loopmasters.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Eclectic, Acoustic Electro
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Name your tracks, general file housekeeping...boring but being methodical is a timesaver in the end.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Ideas
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Ideas
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Maybe look at chords, research sounds and create a 'mood' board of sounds before I start so I have something to hold onto.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Adam p33a, and Adam Sub 8, Quad core i7 PC, iMac, Mac Mini, RME fireface 800, Mackie Onyx 1220i a few bits of hardware, Nord, Roland, Korg, Waldorf, and 88 key master keys, but mostly run everything in the box, with massive sample rig, all the usual suspects, Spitfire Audio, 8DIO, magic Samples, Loopmasters.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The list is pretty endless and eclectic, anything which is well produced and has vibe...Quincy Jones huge hero, Michael Brecker (sax), Donald Fagen, Doobie Brothers, John Williams, Alan Silvestri...a wide selection - I am a musical sponge!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Sound design for corperate films, online media campaigns, sound mixing and demo production for music manufacturers.
