Hello! I am Mariana, a Colombian Jazz Singer with a strong Latin Folk Background, I have been working as a freelance singer and teacher for the past 10 years.

Colombian singer, raised in a tradition of Latin American Folk Music, who decided to focus on her understanding of the Jazz rhythms with her singing and improvisation approach. Her experience singing different styles and the academic research of traditional music all through Latin America made her able to develop an outstanding technique that prints her unique colorful versatile style and gives an exceptional twist to the projects she gets involved with.

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: I think that the most valuable tip I can give to any kind of musician is to be sincere and authentic when studying and performing a song.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: Latin Jazz Music

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: My versatile voice! I have had the chance to work with a great variety of music styles. I am pretty good at harmonizing and arranging voices.

  8. A: My microphone, a couple of line cords and connectors, and all the energy to go through with the project!!!

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: After warming up, I normally hear the samples (if there are any ), sight read the music (if it's given) and record several versions of the requested tracks, chose the best ones and finalize the audio.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I record on a sound-isolated cabin, in my studio with a top of the line condenser microphone and mixing interface.
