I'm a drummer based in Munich, Germany. 🥨🍺 From my Parrotbeat Studio, I record high-quality, punchy, mix-ready drum tracks shaped by a modern Nashville mindset: intentional sound choices, mic-based decisions, and performances that serve the song above everything else.
My studio is built for flexibility and fast turnaround. With a system that allows me to switch between very dry/dead and open/live drum sounds within minutes, I can deliver the exact vibe your production needs — whether tight pop, modern country, rock, indie, or cinematic textures. This setup also enables a fast workflow where I can comfortably handle multiple songs per day without compromising quality.
All I need from you is the song (with and without temp drums if available), the tempo, and a few notes on vibe, tone, or arrangement. One important thing I always clarify up front: Is the existing drum programming staying, or am I fully replacing it?
This determines the entire approach — from drum selection and tuning to how I balance frequencies around your programmed elements or build a brand-new rhythmic foundation. If your programmed drums stay, I choose tones that blend intentionally. If they’re being replaced, I craft a coherent, musical, and fully organic backbone for your track.
I typically deliver two full drum passes with optional fills and variations, and can add shaker or tambourine where it naturally supports the groove. You’ll receive clearly labeled multitrack WAV stems — often around nine to ten individual tracks or grouped stems — giving you full flexibility in the mix instead of just a single stereo drum bounce.

Interview with Tom Ganter
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I am deeply inspired by the masterful grooves of drumming greats such as Phil Collins, Steve Gadd, and Steve Jordan. I strive to achieve the ultimate sound for a given song by utilizing a vast array of drums, percussion, and unconventional sounds, and incorporating the use of guitar pedals to create a truly unique and captivating soundscape. My tracks are crafted with precision and care, always striving to deliver the perfect part that will serve to enhance the song while never detracting from its overall vision. My ultimate goal as a musician is to serve the writer's vision and bring their songs to life with emphasis on groove, feel, texture, energy, and attitude.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Interacting with musicians and composers from all over the word. That, and playing drums all day :)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My tracks focus on delivering the best performance of the perfect part for your song with emphasis on groove, feel, texture, energy, and attitude. My goal is to serve the writer's vision by enhancing the song without ever distracting from it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually follow a three-step process to ensure that you receive top quality custom drum tracks. Firstly, I require the track minus drums and a demo drum track if available. However, if you have any drum chart or sheet music, it would be greatly appreciated but not necessary. Secondly, I record in high-quality and work closely with you during the recording process to ensure that the song and drum concepts meet your expectations. Lastly, I will provide you with a download link containing all final recorded drum tracks. You can import them into your project in your DAW or forward the files straight to your producer or mixing/mastering engineer.
