Brian Hines produces excellent bodies of work. He gives each piece of music (song or compilation) the right amount of attention to detail. I've worked with him, personally. His studio & LIVE performance work is outstanding, & his prices (come on, this matters) are affordable. I recommend him.

Interview with Brian C. Hines
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always hire the best session musicians and singers that have Matched Talent!!!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Music Production for several independent artists.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm especially proud of my work on The Sims Family Singers Debut CD Project to be released in January of 2017 entitled "Unconventional Praise". I recorded the overdubs, did the editing and mixing. The record is absolutely amazing!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work in all genres of music. I've recently been editing and mixing lots of Gospel, R&B and Hip Hop
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Over 15 years of excellence. Throughout my life, I've been fortunate to possess a broad range of musical experiences. I'm a pianist, drummer, organist, producer, songwriter, vocal arranger, composer and choral conductor.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Musicians: Kevin Bond, Michael Bereal, Prince, Chick Corea, Bruno Mars, Maxwell, Katy Perry, R. Kelly and Mint Music Production Professionals: Kevin Bond, Quincy Jones, Chris Lord-Alge and Dave Pensado
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is having the ability to exceed the expectations of the artist's vision.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For mixing, I like to learn as much as I can about the the song and the intended direction before I start moving faders. I like to get a feel for the song by listening to the rough mix if one is provided. I also like to listen to reference songs and other artists recommended by the client that represent the style and sound they want. Before finalizing the mix, I will send it out to the artist to get feedback to begin the revision process if necessary.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I don't like my job until it's COMPLETE!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Production, Editing and Mixing. When Editing, I do a good bit of time- aligning tracks, cleaning drum tracks and tuning vocals.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is setup is fairly basic and mainly for editing and mixing. I'm currently running Pro Tools 12 with a ton of plugins.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Developing a character in a mix that is unique and right for the project.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Is any editing required? I do not consider editing, vocal comping, vocal tuning, etc... as part of the mixing process. What is your vision and what are your goals for the project. Do you have a rough mix? Do you have any reference mixes? How much creative input do you want from me? What's your expected turnaround time? Do you have a Pro Tools session?
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that it's easy, that I can take a bad song and make it good with a mix. Also, many people think that mixing can be done quickly. Even when the tracks are recorded really well, mixing still takes a good bit of time to fine tune and make the mix amazing. I can only mix the files I am sent unless I have the freedom to add parts.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. With digital there are pretty much no limitations. You can easily recall sessions and settings. Plugins have gotten so good that one can get fantastic results from 100% in the box mixes. I taylor my mixing to sound very analog.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm new here
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I mix every song to the best of my ability no matter who the client is. My goal is to make your mix the best mix that I've ever done!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What is your rate?! The answer is, it depends on the condition of the recorded tracks I'm given. Sometimes I get sent a song and it is a disaster requiring countless hours and sometimes days of work to get sounding its best. Then there are times a song only requires a little bit of a polish and can be done in a few hours. I always need to listen to a rough mix before coming up with a fair mix rate.
