I am a percussionist with tons of experience adding tasteful parts to tracks in many styles. I've worked with Yessian Music, Assemble Sound, Epitome Studios and have done lots of remote recording for smaller projects. My instruments include; marimba, vibraphone, steel drum, congas, djembe, tabla, dumbek, orchestral percussion, shakers, kit, etc.
Patrick Fitzgibbon is a musician based in the Detroit, MI area who has made his career performing, teaching and composing. Patrick is a professor of music at Oakland University where he teaches courses in world music, aural skills and steel band. Patrick regularly performs with many of Detroit's top musicians as well as his own quintet (Patrick Fitzgibbon Band), and his steel drum ensemble (Steel Sound) and Rela Percussion. Other performance highlights include the Fisher Theater Orchestra, recording sessions at Yessian Music and residencies at Duke University, Bloomberg University and the Toledo Glass Museum. His original compositions can be heard on his albums "The Travelers" and “Just Ahead” and have been published with Tapspace and C. Alan Publications. His compositions have been licensed for use by Ford, Bosch Automotive, and Investigation Discovery Studios. Patrick earned his bachelor's in music performance from Michigan State University, his master's from Oakland University and has studied traditional music in India, Ghana, Jamaica and Trinidad.
