Jesse’s talent is simply unmatched. He can play with the melodic and rythmic exuberance of Fats Waller, or the melancholic elegance of Bill Evans, all the while approaching the instrument with a style that is his alone. He is a once in a century talent, to be quite frank. Add to this his capacity to so beautifully accompany singers, to give them space, inspiration, and palpable ambience, and you have the stuff of of which genius is made.
