Hi, I'm Damon McKenzie, I am a 27 year old sound engineer from Cape Town, South Africa.
I worked at Pressure Cooker Studios for 4 years and spent those 4 years honing my craft on films, series, games and everything in between.
I have done work for companies such as Netflix, Marvel and PlayStation to name a few and have seen a few projects take home awards from film festivals.
My primary service and skill is sound design however my skills in mixing and dialogue editing/clean up is also of an international standard.

Interview with Damon Mckenzie
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Red Gaia. the project tested everything i knew about sound design. it was definitely my biggest challenge because i had to convey the story in a way that i hadn't before and it was a very very fine line between literal sound design and using almost surreal elements to get the story across and bring emotion into the short.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creative sound design, i use a lot of musical elements to get a more unique final product.

A: Usually it's sound design, with a general mix and master depending on deliverables.
