Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I quit my job of 14 years to follow my passion and opened a mega nightclub in Northern California. My musical background played a huge role in its success. I focused on booking rising talent before they broke big, and my club quickly became known as the place where new stars performed when they came to Northern California. At Taste Nightclub, I was blessed to host some of the biggest artists in the world, including Lady Gaga, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Mike Posner, Snoop Dogg, will.i.am, and Miguel. I’ve always believed in hard work, determination, and staying committed to success—and I will always work until I achieve my goals.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I just wrapped up a 15-song project that I’m submitting for sync licensing.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: Absolutely. I’d recommend J.O.Y, who’s an amazing songwriter and vocalist with really professional production. I’d also recommend Vudaje—an incredible vocalist and producer who always brings something special to a project.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: I work digitally now because it’s fast, convenient, and delivers great quality. However, I’ve also worked on 2-inch reel-to-reel analog, and the warmth and character of analog is incredible. It’s a more involved process, but the sound is amazing. If the budget allowed, I’d love to work primarily digital while still incorporating 2-inch analog for that extra warmth and depth.

A: I promise honesty, great communication, quality production, and a final song you’ll be proud of.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I don’t like my job—I love it. I feel incredibly blessed that I get to wake up every day and create music, experiment, and turn inspiration into something real.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: he most common questions are “How much?” and “How long?” My response is that it depends on the project, but I’m always clear, fair, and upfront about pricing and timelines once I understand your vision.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: The biggest misconception is that producers just “make beats.” A real producer helps shape the entire song—emotion, arrangement, sound design, mix, and vibe. It’s a creative partnership, not just pushing buttons.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: I ask clients what they want the song to feel like, who or what inspires them, and what message they want to deliver. I also ask about their timeline, expectations, and any reference tracks so I can create something that truly matches their vision.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Choose a producer who listens to your vision, communicates well, delivers quality work, and truly cares about your music—not just the project.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: If I were stranded on an island and could only take five things, I’d bring my laptop, my studio monitors, a solid studio table, a comfortable chair, and a picture of my family to keep me inspired.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I was born into music. My dad was a band leader for 35 years, so our garage was always full of instruments and inspiration. I started DJing at 13, fell in love with the energy of music, and eventually transitioned into producing. I’ve spent over a decade learning, creating, and growing in the studio, and for the past five years I’ve been fully committed to music full-time, every day.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My music has an EDM-pop, feel-good energy. I create upbeat, emotional, and uplifting songs that come from the heart and are designed to make people feel good.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Ed Sheeran. I’d love to work with him to experience his creative process, production approach, and incredible vocal ability. He’s an amazing artist with a unique way of connecting emotion and melody.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Every four bars, introduce a new element or variation in your track. It keeps the song evolving, maintains listener interest, and builds momentum.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I usually work on house music in the 124–132 BPM range. I’m a nightclub guy at heart—I owned a club for 15 years, so I love making music that feels great on the dancefloor. But some mornings I wake up inspired to make R&B too, whether it’s a slow emotional ballad or an uptempo groove.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: My strongest skill is producing music and bringing ideas to life. I’m able to hear melodies in my head and turn them into complete songs. I have a strong ear for drums, keyboards, and sound selection, and I love every part of the creative process.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I bring strong melodies, emotional depth, great production quality, and a professional, radio-ready sound.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I like to get a head start on the day and begin working around 4AM. Mondays are all about creativity—melodies, chord progressions, and experimenting with different musical ideas. I’ll usually create five ideas, then come back Tuesday morning with fresh ears to pick the best one. I work in focused two-hour sessions, averaging 6–8 hours a day, and I typically complete 2–3 fully finished songs each week, from production to mix and master.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I produce from my home studio on an iMac running Ableton. For monitoring I use Yamaha and JBL studio speakers, along with EKG studio headphones. My go-to plugins include Serum (both versions) and the full Korg collection.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: My favorite artist of all time is Prince. I’m a true music lover and draw inspiration from everywhere—Tiësto, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, The Kid Laroi, Justin Bieber, James Hype, Post Malone—honestly, I listen to it all.

A: I produce music from start to finish, delivering fully arranged, mixed, and mastered tracks that are radio-ready.
