London-based session bassist, working in the Jazz / Soul realms touring with artists like Rosie Frater-Taylor & August Charles. *OPEN-MINDED* enough to work with you on whatever you need - whether it's on basslines with a classic sound, or more unique textures making use of chords & effect pedals. *FLEXIBLE* enough to rework things to your taste.
I pride myself on my technique, and subsequent ability to deliver a very clean tone in my basslines; prioritising sound over any desire to 'show off'. This has helped me establish myself as a reliable session bassist in London, and secure my position as sideman to up-and-coming Jazz / Soul artists Rosie Frater-Taylor, August Charles & Mared.
To help achieve a variety of sounds, I have several instruments at my disposal: a modern-sounding 6-String Bass, one very classic-sounding 1977 P Bass with flatwound strings (like those old motown records), and a huge-sounding Fretless Jazz Bass. I also play a Moog Synth Bass, which delivers on an array of those massive synth bass tones. Getting the right sound for your record will no doubt be one of the most important things for you in hiring a session bassist, and an array of tools to do that certainly helps.
Bassline creation is an art. Often less is more, (sometimes more is more too though, haha). I get that.
I am always flexible for my clients; open to reworking basslines until they feel just right. Flexibility is a key part of the service I provide, as is fast communication and delivery of recordings.

Endorse Dave EdwardsDave had provided beautifully played parts for a number of tracks, with excellent attention to detail and a very nice touch. He has great communication skills, responding positively to feedback, and has demonstrated a brilliant attitude throughout.
He has also played a pivotal role in my life set up where we supported the likes of Nile Rodgers, Emeli Sandé, Adi Oasis and many more!
It's been an honour to work with him.
