Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: Each and every project I work on holds a special place in my heart, and I take pride in each one. If it's one of my own releases, I handle all aspects of the work, including songwriting, performing, producing, mixing, and mastering. When collaborating with other artists, I specialise in complete production, mixing, and mastering.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Short and simple: I have chosen music as my career, and the sounds I create every day guide me through the journey I love the most!

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: Artists/Clients often inquire about my availability to mix/master their tracks or to act as their producer based on my portfolio of work. I always respond affirmatively and take the opportunity to delve deeper into their musical vision and project requirements. This allows me to tailor my approach to meet their specific needs, ensuring a smooth and successful collaboration.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: For any potential clients considering hiring me, I encourage them to openly communicate their requirements and share their vision for their musical or sound project. By understanding their expectations and preferences, I can ensure that we align our creative direction and work towards achieving their desired outcomes. Open communication is key to establishing a comfortable and productive working relationship.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: My career path has been deeply influenced by my upbringing in a musical family. My mother, an Indian classical vocalist, performed alongside her sister as the renowned 'Ceylon Sisters' from a young age. Growing up in this environment, I initially learned the Indian percussion instrument 'Mridangam' at the age of eight. However, my interest shifted towards the piano, and by the time I was 15, I taught myself to record using a digital audio workstation (DAW). During my high school years, I delved into experimenting with various genres, producing house music with my cousin, and composing scores for short films and telefilms. Subsequently, I pursued formal education in sound engineering at Berklee College of Music.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: I would ask them to feel free to specify their requirements, and let me know how they want their musical/sound ideas to shape up on the whole. I believe that it will make them get to the comfort zone with me.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I've been involved in film-style, hip-hop, pop, and EDM music production for the past seven to eight years. I thrive on experimenting with new sounds and techniques, which prevents me from adhering to a specific style.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I handle a wide range of genres including Hip-hop, Afrobeat, R&B, Pop, Rap, Trap, Deep House, Techno, Drum and Bass, PsyTrance, and Dubstep. I also compose film scores. While I'm proficient in these styles, I typically don't specialize in Jazz, Country, Rock, or Metal.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: I consider my greatest strength to be my creativity in producing and mixing tracks. I'm truly dedicated to refining each project until I'm completely satisfied with the result, always prioritising quality.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: Every project demands its unique approach to progression. I don't adhere to a fixed work process because each project has its own distinct requirements. I immerse myself in the workflow that is necessary for the specific project at hand.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I have always been inspired by good music, regardless of who creates it. Whether it's a talented newcomer or an established professional, I find inspiration in excellent sound. I'm constantly seeking input from a diverse range of musicians and music production professionals.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I am a professional music composer, producer, and mix/master engineer who predominantly works with independent artists. Additionally, I compose film scores. Over the past few years, I have produced and mixed over 250 independent tracks and have scored original soundtrack for numerous short films, telefilms and commercials.
