I am a Brazilian guitarist, bassist, and arranger. I have recorded and produced albums that feature collaborations with musicians such as André Mehmari, Jaques Morelenbaum, Teco Cardoso, and Carol Panesi. As an instrumentalist, I carry diverse musical influences that span Rock and Roll, Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), Jazz, and Classical Music.
I studied popular music at the State University of Campinas, São Paulo, one of the best colleges in Brazil, where I currently do a postgraduate course in this area. My musical initiation took place with rock, but my focus has always been Brazilian popular music and its various genres such as bossa nova, samba and baião. Over time I also studied jazz and classical music.
I have been working as a musician for over 15 years, accompanying singers, making recordings, shows, composing soundtracks, etc. Among my most recent works are the album Trem Doido (2018), the album Água Clara (2022), in which I worked with the music producer, arranger and instrumentalist, and the album Raízes nas Nuvens (2022), in which I work as instrumentalist, composer, arranger and music producer.
How can I contribute to your work?
I specialize in nylon guitar, but I've always played electric guitar, both semi-acoustic and solid-body guitars, and fretless bass. I play virtually any genre of Brazilian music and have recorded several global music genres such as jazz, funk and pop. I like to use effects and produce interesting sounds, but I also record a lot of acoustic guitar.
For recordings I currently use Reaper, but I can use another DAW, depending on the working conditions.

Interview with Eddy Andrade
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing guitar professionally at a very young age and later moved on to nylon guitar and electric bass. I studied classical guitar at the former ULM, now known as Emesp – Tom Jobim, and later advanced studies in electric guitar. I graduated in popular guitar at Unicamp, one of the best universities for popular music in Brazil, and today I am doing a master's degree in popular music. I recorded with several artists and released records in which I participated as an arranger, music producer, editor and instrumentalist..
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I tend to work more with Brazilian popular music, but I really like instrumental music, rock, pop, etc.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I hope, whenever possible, to add an interesting layer of sound to the music. Looking for something with personality but also that is always within the musical context.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: A lot depends on the request, but I usually study all the possibilities that I consider suitable for the song and finally record. This recording is performed with a clean signal (DI) plus one or two effects channels (mono or stereo).
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a small homestudio (a dry room) that has a Focusrite 18i8 usb audio interface and some microphones like: one Audio-Technica AT2020 and two Audio-Technica AT2021.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by great musicians like André Mehmari and Daniel Santiago and producers like the brazilian Marcelo Mariano and the renowned Quincy Jones.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do is recording nylon guitar, electric guitar and fretless bass.
I was the 1. nylon guitar; 2. nylon guitar, electric guitar, fretless and synth bass; 3. band arrangement, electric guitar, fretless bass; 4. band/string arrangement, nylon guitar, fretless bass; 5. fretless bass in this production
