Endorse Zoë MossZoë is one of my go-to songwriters in the pop dance space. We have collaborated for two years now and I couldn’t be happier with the songs we have created. She is a strong lyricist and her melodies are always on point. We have a major label release slated for 2025 together, and I’m looking forward to continuing to collaborate with her!
Wow where do I begin! One of the most brilliant and out of the box writers I’ve ever worked with. Zoe always makes sure I’m comfortable and able to be vulnerable so my lyrics are the best they can be. Can’t say enough great things! 5/5!
Zoe Moss is hands down one of the most talented and kind songwriters I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Her ability to capture emotions and tell stories through her lyrics is unmatched, making each song feel deeply personal and relatable. Beyond her incredible talent, Zoe is a genuinely kind and generous person who goes above and beyond to support those she works with. She’s been an immense help to me, always willing to listen, collaborate, and offer guidance. Her passion for her craft shines through in everything she does.
Zoe is a wonderful songwriter and producer to work with. She has a knack for pulling out the best concepts from everyone around her and contributing her own. If you come to Zoe with even the simplest idea, she can help you transform it into a complex and professional project!
Zoe has been such an asset to my music. She’s an amazing writer and singer and is so easy and professional to collaborate with. I love what we’ve done together so far and am excited to book her for more! She makes the process easy and inspiring. 11/10!
Zoe is a super super talented writer and vocal producer! She really makes the artist feel confident and comfortable throughout every step!
I think it’s hard to find creatives that make you feel safe and heard in a room and zoe does just that!
Interview with Zoë Moss
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I cowrote a song recently with EDM artist No/Me that is slated for 2025 release. This song is incredibly special and I can't wait to see how the world reacts to it.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Brooke Tomlinson is an incredible artist, songwriter, and vocalist. We have collaborated on several projects together and she is nothing but a pro.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog for solo listening. Digital for everywhere else. Because analog to me is more intimate of an experience, and digital has made music more accessible. There are pros and cons to both, so why choose just one.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always give 100%. My goal is for you to have a finished project that inspires you.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: When fans sing lyrics I have written back to the artist live. When I can see the direct positive impact a song I have written makes. Working with young artists and being a mentor.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Most commonly a variation of, do I need to have experience in this genre to get started. And my answer is no, some of the best records and most engaging artists are brand new to what they are doing, and relying on their instincts and internal confidence.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That creating something catchy and simple is easy. And that success in the music industry is an absolute.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are three records and three artists, you are drawing inspiration from? What experience do you have in writing, recording, and vocal performance, if any? Is your project for public release, or personal? What is your budget, timeline, and goal for your finished project?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be as detailed with your vision as possible! We love to hear about what drives and motivates you with specific inspiration examples, artists you admire, and albums you are modelling your sound towards. This is immensely helpful when creating with you.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A lot of pop dance records with artists I have admired for years. Outside of dance, I am also working on pop, rock, punk pop, EDM, sync, Kpop records and more. I am so excited for 2025's upcoming releases.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Exactly what I have in my home set up.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been working in the music industry for 10 years. My career path started as a songwriter, and has branched out to vocal production and vocal work from there.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Pop with an edge, abstract, conceptual, sensual.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Gus Dapperton because of his unique lyricism and taste. Kevin Abstract because of his amazing melodies, production, and style. Nelly Furtado because of her legendary catalogue, energy, and her being a favourite in my childhood.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Having too many vocal takes is better than not having enough. Also, the more you know the rules, the better you can break them.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, EDM, Dance Pop, Kpop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My drive and my ability to stay focused and patient. Also my patience and attention to detail.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a songwriter, I bring a perspective that is in depth and out of the box. As a vocalist and vocal producer I bring a unique tone, a precise emotional performance, and a very practiced ear. My goal is to always make my client comfortable and to provide the most positive and quality experience I can.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: As a songwriter my process often starts with conceptual or melodic based. When I am assisting an artist I am happy to assist in whatever role they need me for, and follow their creative lead. That can include assisting more on the lyric side of the process, melodically, rhythmically, and/or with vocal production and song structure. As a vocalist, I am very adept at engineering and comping myself, as well as taking on that role for others. I am highly detailed oriented and focused, while staying able to multitask when the project calls for it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a home studio set up with a Neumann TLM 103, UAD Apollo Twin X, Mac Pro M2, and KRK speakers. I also have Waves Plugins, Slate Audio, Splice, Autone Pro, Soundtoys, and Valhalla.

A: Ali Tamposi, The Dream, Carol King, Ester Dean, Tove Lo, The Kinks, The Doors, The Rolling Stones.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly I am a vocalist, a topline songwriter, co-writer with artists, a songwriter for pitch, vocal producer, engineer, and provide song editing melodically/lyrically/conceptually.
