Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've played bass for 23 years in various bands. I found my passion in the recording world and have been mainly doing that as a hobby for the last decade or so. I've recorded and mixed a few local bands but really want to help individuals make their song the best it can be.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: It's evolved through many genres from rock, trip hop, indie, world, abstract. Whatever it is It grooves.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Reamping is a gamechanger, guitar pedals add all kinds of character.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My bass playing first and foremost.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I think groove is the best description. I certainly have a unique perspective when it comes to rhythm.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I would normally start with drumming to whatever the main focus of the song is, followed by bass, guitar if needed. then keyboard, percussion, or whatever else it needs for feeling. Generally mixing as i go to get 80% there. Then mixing the rest.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record through an apollo with adat expansion for the drumkit. I currently am using studio one for mixing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: So far it's been recording, producing and mixing for clients in my home.
